 What is a consultant?

Consultant is a person who gives professional or expert advice.  A consultant is an adviser or coach with a set of expertise, education, and experience that is utilized to help bridge the gap between one’s current situation and their goals.

Why should I hire a consultant?  What are the benefits?

Is hiring a consultant expensive?

No, hiring a consultant is not expensive.  To the contrary, utilizing a consultant is much less expensive than having to hire a full or part time employee that does not necessarily have the broad range of skills as a consultant or consulting group.  Equipped with a consultant, one has a greater chance of making better decisions, which ultimately leads to a higher bottom line and greater likelihood of successful achievement of objectives.

How does the process work?

The first step is to meet with one of our consultants.  A one hour face-to-face meeting will be used to obtain the client’s objectives, measures of success, and expressions of value.  Then, a conceptual agreement is prepared, which outlines the issues discussed from the face-to-face meeting.  The client will discuss with one of our consultants the conceptual agreement to ensure that the consultant understands what the client seeks to achieve.  The last step, is the proposal, which sets forth a list of solutions that the client will select that most fits their vision and budget.

How do you charge?

We charge by the project, not on an hourly basis.  Charging hourly is ethically questionable and creates a conflict of interest.  Our focus is on your success.  We do not want the client to have to make an investment decision every time advice or counsel is needed.  Therefore, clients are charged a set fee or retainer in advance for specific projects.
